Skylight Cleaning in Toronto, Brampton & the GTA

Skylights are the first glass in a house to get dirty and the last to get cleaned. Northline cleans residential skylights across Toronto, Brampton and the GTA — exterior glass, interior pane and the surrounding well.

Rooftop glass collects pollen, shingle grit and hard water spotting that dull the light long before you notice the glass looks dirty. Most customers are surprised how much brighter a kitchen or stairwell gets afterwards.

What the service covers

  • Exterior glass washed and rinsed with filtered water to avoid mineral spotting
  • Flashing and frame edges cleared of grit, moss and debris
  • Interior pane hand-cleaned with floor and furniture protection in place
  • Skylight well and visible trim wiped down
  • Cobwebs and insect debris removed from inside the well where accessible

Safe roof access

Skylight work means working at height on a sloped surface, which is exactly why it should not be a DIY afternoon. Our technicians are fully insured and use pole systems from ground or ladder wherever possible so we minimise time on the roof and avoid putting weight near the flashing.

Best paired with a full window clean

Because we are already set up with poles and interior protection, adding skylights to a scheduled window cleaning is the most economical way to book it. Ask for both on your quote request.

Skylight Cleaning FAQs

Can you clean skylights on a steep or high roof?

In most cases yes, using extension pole systems that let us reach the glass without walking the slope. If a roof is genuinely unsafe to service, we will tell you upfront rather than take the job.

Do you clean the inside of the skylight as well?

Yes. We clean the interior pane and wipe the well and visible trim, with protection laid down underneath.

Can you fix a leaking skylight?

We do not do roofing repairs, but if we notice failed sealant, cracked flashing or a fogged sealed unit while cleaning, we will point it out so you can get it looked at.

How often should skylights be cleaned?

Once a year suits most homes. Skylights under trees or facing a busy road usually look better on a twice-yearly schedule.
